A site dedicated to the Liberation of Brittany, France, during WWII

August 1st - September 19th, 1944

The aim of this site is to present as much information as possible on all units and organisations involved in the liberation of the Brittany peninsula. I have no doubts that this will be a huge undertaking and if you have information that would contribute to this site, please get in touch - all assistance is appreiated.

Update, Jan 2006: It appears this is going to be a much bigger project than I first thought! In addition, I'm half way through restoring a Willys MB 'jeep' which is taking up every spare moment just now. I'll get back to work on putting something together as soon as I can, although if you want to get in touch in the meantime, please do so.

I'm especially looking for information from Veterans of the 15th Tank Bn or 9th Armored Infantry Bn. The period I'm seeking information on relates to the drive past Carhaix, through Poullaoeun and onto Huelgoat and the fighting near 'Huelgoat Woods' against the German 2nd Parachute. The date period would be 3 - 6th August 1944, whilst attached to CCR.
